There are two ways in Google Analytics to see what hour of the day visitors are on our sites:
The first is the easiest way with the best visual graph:
1. In Analytics, click on "Visitors" in the left column.
2. Click on "Visitor Trending"
3. Click on "Visits"
4. In the upper right corner of the report, graph by hour
The second way is to set up a custom report:
1. Click on Custom Reporting in the left column
2. Click on Manage Custom Reports
3. Click on "No custom reports created for this profile; click here to create one"
4. The new report will have a generic title which you can change
5. Under "Metrics" in the left column, click "site usuage"
6. Drag "entrances" into the first "metric" box in the center column
7. Under "Dimensions", click "Visitors"
8. Drag "Hour Of The Day" into the "Dimensions" box in the center column
9. Click "create report"
That's it.
Now the report will always be available under the custom reports section in the left column.
