Google Analytics Time Of Day Report

There are two ways in Google Analytics to see what hour of the day visitors are on our sites:

The first is the easiest way with the best visual graph:

1. In Analytics, click on "Visitors" in the left column.

2. Click on "Visitor Trending"

Online Marketing Acronym Definitions - CPA, CPC, etc...

When people first get involved with online marketing, the numerous acronyms can get a little confusing. Here's a general breakdown of the major ones:

ROI (return on investment) - One of the most important ones since we won't be in business long usless we can get more money back from what we are spending on ads or other business efforts.

PPC (pay per click) - Usually associated with online advertising. You only pay when someone clicks on your ad.

Post Holiday Bump

I had a nice boost in traffic and revenue yesterday. I was hoping it was a new Google ranking sending free traffic, but it was just a boost in traffic from the normal sources.

Saturday's are usually my worst day of the week. There must have been a lot of people spending some time online on the first day after Christmas. Looking for deals and moving on to the next purchase decisions after the holiday.

I went to bed last night not knowing why my revenue went up. I only had time to see the revenu… Continue

Nice To Have Some Revenue Again

I'm back on the upward revenue trend.

After a couple of years of living off past earnings, I was getting close to running out of money. I've been trying different things in a desperate attempt to find a solid source fo revenue. Just as the money was about to run out, I think I have found something that is working.

I can't reveal my source of traffic, but I get a good chunk of traffic each day. This has allowed me to do some testing on one of my sites. Three months ago, I was pretty disappointe… Continue

Another Good Break Or Maybe Not?

I got a link to my site and it is delivering a healthy amount of traffic. This got me all excited, but I am having trouble monetizing the traffic.

My first problem is that not many people are clicking on the ads or the affiliate links. I am trying a few different placements and colors to see if I can increase the click through rates, but so far it has been frustrating.

The second problem is that the advertising clicks I am geting are not as big as I hoped for. I should be getting clicks worth… Continue

Hi Paul, I am also very excited about pay per call programs and also very upset that the merchants participating are so limited right now. I'd also be interested to hear if anyone is having success with pay per call programs.

I'm hoping that a good pay per call program opens soon for my niche market. I was all excited about pay per call until I realized that none of my merchants are participating yet. Is anyone using a pay per call program? Are you seeing higher convers…

I was always upset that Google Analytics didn't have a time of day report allowing us to see what hour of the day visitors were on our sites. However, I just figured out how to do it: Google Analytics Time Of Day Report: 1. Click on Custom Reporti…

Great points about how the internet has opened things up for millions fo people. I also can't wait for the television screen to be opened up to more competition & channels.

I think the only way to get to the promised land is to have a site that spreads through word of mouth or gets a really good listing on a popular search keyword. Both of these options are achieved by a dedicated process of creating quality content.…

Yes, I also highly recommend doing this. Any additional information you can get about your site is very important. On the web, the smallest things can make the biggest difference. I learned a lot about my sites when I integrated these two services.…

I think it is different for each site. It depends on how big your site is and how many visitors it gets per day. Google probaly doesn't want to waste their bandwidth visiting a site to record a few visitors in one hour so they probably space out the…
