Make sure you have a realistic understanding of how stable your new life is.  If you have a site that is generating a lot of repeat visitors and rapid growth, you are in a much better position compared to someone who is making profits playing the one and done PPC marketing game. 

If all of your traffic is coming from one source, ask yourself what would happen if you lost the traffic from that source.  Search engines change their advertising policies and their search results pages often.  Many people have had their dreams crushed because they had their source of traffic taken away from them.

If you begin to make money online, don't spend the money right away.  Hire an accountant to help you plan your taxes and investments.  As an internet entrepreneur, you will need to make quarterly tax payments when you start generating significant revenue.  Your accountant can also help you make investments that will lower your taxable income. 

Once your taxes are paid and your investments are made, save most of your income in a savings account.  The idea is to have a big enough savings account so you can continue to work online for at least six months if something happens to your websites or your revenue.

The third best part of making money online is that you can do it from anywhere with an internet connection.  Take your laptop or mobile device and do some traveling.  You will still have the ability to check your stats, make changes, and build more sites and pages, but you will be doing these things after spending the day on the beach or hiking through the mountains.
