What would you do if you could start over?

Doing business online keeps changing so I'm sure many of us have made a lot of mistakes over the years.

For me, I would not have spent so much time creating content on other people's sites in a hopeless quest for links.  I spent way too much time commenting on forums and blogs and writing articles for Squidoo, Yahoo Answers, eZineArticles, etc...

It was bound ot happen that Google would figure out a way to discount links that we were creating ourselves.  From the beginning I should have had a laser focus on creating the best possible site and content and not worry about anything else.  Good sites and content get links and traffic becasue they are good, not because they have gamed the system.
